*snickers* Not in that day and age, you couldn't. How corsets are used in this day and age? Maybe. Maybe, if it were the right type of corset, and there was no chemise or hoopskirt or ten dozen layers of clothing. And also given the assumption that the woman doesn't pass out from the sudden rush of oxygen to the brain. Which I have almost done no less than four times.
But the male renaissance strippers...I have this image of guys trying to strip off their hosen while being sexy, and that, combined with the poofy sleeves of extravagant (and often not pretty), is just a hilarious image in my head.
